The PayFerral Story

PayFerral was started by small businessman, Kurt Behrenfeld, who recognized the vast untapped wealth of individuals from all walks of life to monetize bringing buyers and sellers together within their own personal networks.

Although ancient in origins, referrals have been an important part of doing business for centuries.  However, most referrals are given away for free by the referrer.  However, Behrenfeld recognized the growing needs of individuals to develop multiple streams of income to adapt to a changing workplace where steady employment with the same company was disappearing.

From observing powerbrokers in the M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions) field, Behrenfeld had an epiphany that monetizing the ability to bring buyers and sellers together in a convenient, safe and smart way was possible with the internet.   No longer was it just limited to a select few gatekeepers.

After researching a myriad of service industries throughout the U.S. and worldwide, Behrenfeld discovered that businesses were starving for quality referrals from people who know people.  Likewise, Behrenfeld found that the average person knows at least 250 people – and some know many more.

By creating a marketplace where individuals could monetize referrals on a success fee basis and businesses could receive much needed referrals, Behrenfeld found a sweet spot with the advent of PayFerral.    No longer were just the big boys or fat cats on Wall Street and Madison Avenue able to cash in on putting buyers and sellers together, but anyone anywhere anytime could do it by just listening for needs within their own networks and then reaching out to businesses eager to pay them to acquire a new customer.

Behrenfeld believes PayFerral is the wave of the future and ultimately represents an economic model that provides the awareness and access for more people to participate in the economy while better allocating resources and wealth.   By taking action and using PayFerral to initiate, track and get paid for successful referrals, individuals can get their “piece of the action” on as many levels as they are willing to participate.

“This is a game change”, Behrenfeld says, where “win/win wins”.   He seems to be on to something…
